Role of medical plants on rural entrepreneurships, case study: Dalahoo county in Kermanshah province

Abstract

Considering that most of these plants are used in rural areas, it is very important to investigate the effects and factors on prosperity and its impact on the development of rural areas. Having said that, this thesis examines the role of medicinal plants in rural entrepreneurship in Dalahoe County. The research method is descriptive and analytical. The data collection tool was a questionnaire. The sample size was calculated using Cochran's formula, which was equal to 157 people from the villages of Tutshami, Kamran Bey and Brod Sefali. The validity of the research was confirmed using the opinion of experts in geography and social sciences, and the reliability of the research was confirmed with the help of Cronbach's alpha (with an average of 0.73). The sampling method in the villages was simple random. The results indicate that the economic effects of medicinal plants have shown positive effects on the economy and the income and employment of villagers. In the cultural dimension, familiarity with medicinal plants and women's participation in the economy of society, and in the social dimension, improving health and hygiene awareness, along with the role of women in rural areas, is of great importance. The findings of Spearman's correlation show a significant relationship at the level of 0.01 and 0.05 between the exploitation of medicinal plants and economic, social and cultural variables, and the regression findings show that the economic variables are more important than the other two variables.
